 You don’t have to be a seasoned judge—or even planning to become one—to spend a great day learning with Cadillac people. The NY–CT Two Rivers Region is hosting a friendly, hands-on CLC Judges’ Workshop that’s equal parts learning, fellowship, and fun. Under the guidance of CLC Chief Judge Fred Butalla and members of the CLC Judging Committee, you’ll get a clear, step-by-step understanding of how CLC judging really works—and why it’s so rewarding.

This isn’t “a day at school.” It’s a day with like-minded Cadillac aficionados —Cadillac enthusiasts who love the cars as much as you do and want to become better caretakers, entrants, and judges.

What You’ll Do (and Why It Matters)

• See judging from the inside. We’ll break down CLC Judging Procedures in plain language—how teams work, where points are found and lost, and what “authenticity” means in practice.
• Judge four classic Cadillacs—live, with coaching. You’ll rotate through teams and evaluate four classic Cadillacs alongside experienced judges.
• Level up your own car. Even if you never plan to judge, you’ll leave with a punch list for prepping your Cadillac for the Grand National—and a new eye for the details that matter.
• Be part of the team. CLC judging only happens because members step up. Learn how teams collaborate on the field, support owners, and keep the standard high for everyone in the Club.
• Earn recognition. Successful completion earns 4 points toward the Judges/Tabulator Recognition Program.                                                                      (participants will receive 3pts for attending and one more point for successfully passing the test.) A total of 4 Possible points awarded 
• Why this year? The workshop is scheduled just six weeks before the 2026 CLC Grand National at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Concord, North Carolina, near Charlotte Motor Speedway—perfect timing to refresh skills, get questions answered, and prep your car or judging team.

If You’re New, You’re Also Welcome 

Plenty of attendees come just to learn—no experience required. You’ll be partnered with friendly teammates and guided through each step. And if you are experienced, you’ll enjoy a crisp refresher before the Grand National, with the added bonus of mentoring the next wave of judges. Some folks think they are not skilled to be a judge, but attending a workshop as this will allow you to find your hidden Judging skills and allow you to grow into the judging process and help your fellow club members earn their awards ,or give yourself the knowledge to better prepare your car for the judging process at the Up Coming Grand National in June of 2026
