Member News: Triple National Honors for Frank
Congratulations to Frank for his outstanding performance on the AACA National circuit this year! Frank’s car is a standout in the Original Class—a category formerly known as HPOF that prioritizes preservation over restoration.
2025 Trophy Case:
While many classes are point-judged on the quality of a restoration, the Original Class evaluates how well a car has been maintained in its factory state. From the paint to the engine compartment, Frank’s car serves as a benchmark for what these vehicles looked like the day they left the showroom. Seeing an unrestored survivor of this caliber on the field is a true "step back in time" for any enthusiast.

1967 Cadillac DeVille Convertible
Larry S. and SallyAnne of Sloatsburg, NY, have spent the last few years taking the judging world by storm with their stunning, unrestored 1967 DeVille Convertible. Their journey through the AACA and the Cadillac & LaSalle Club (CLC) ranks is a masterclass in excellence.
The AACA Journey:
The Cadillac & LaSalle Club (CLC) Success:
This Cadillac is a two-time AACA National Award nominee. Because it remains unrestored, it serves as a vital benchmark for authenticity, appearing exactly as it did when it first left the Cadillac showroom 58 years ago. Congratulations to Larry and SallyAnne on these incredible milestones!

Larry & SallyAnne – Sloatsburg, NY
Larry and SallyAnne brought a rare piece of Cadillac history to the world-renowned AACA Eastern Fall National in Hershey, PA, in 2024. Their 1985 Eldorado Biarritz Convertible, finished in the striking and elegant Autumn Maple Firemist, stood out among more than 1,200 vehicles on the legendary show field.
This particular model is a true rarity, as only 2,300 Eldorado convertibles were produced in 1985. The car’s exceptional condition earned it the AACA National First Place Junior Award, a feat that requires a rigorous score of at least 365 out of 400 points.
To achieve this, the vehicle was scrutinized by a panel of AACA judges who evaluated its authenticity and condition. Their win confirms that this Biarritz remains as factory-correct as the day it left the showroom floor 40 years ago.
Award Milestone:
Congratulations to Larry and SallyAnne on preserving this rare "Autumn Maple" gem!

1959 Coupe DeVille
In June 2022, Randi traveled to Lombard, Illinois, for the Cadillac & LaSalle Club (CLC) Grand National, hosted by the West of the Lake Region. It was there that his exceptional vehicle achieved the CLC’s highest honor: the coveted Senior Crown Award.
Earning a Senior Crown is no small feat. It requires a near-perfect score of at least 99 points. A panel of expert judges scrutinizes the vehicle across three rigorous categories:
Beyond aesthetics, the car undergoes a functional test to ensure every feature is in full operational condition. Not only did Randi’s car meet these elite standards, but it also took home the prestigious Best of Show in the Post-War Class, marking it as one of the finest Cadillacs in the country.
