Frank just had his car down at the AACA National car show at the Charlotte auto fair and won a first place Original award from the Antique Automobile Club of America. Franks Car was entered into the "original class" Original class formally HPOF this class represent originality as opposed to restoration. Since its founding, AACA has been dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and maintenance of automobiles, recognizing vehicles in their original paint, chassis, upholstery, engine compartment, etc., that remain essentially as the car was originally delivered. These vehicles are not point judged. These cars in this class are evaluated with an eye looking towards the originality of the car ,does it appear as it would of the day it left the showroom when sold new. its a fun class to walk thru at one of the events as its a step back in time to view these original ,un-restored cars on the field .
Randi brought his car to the Cadillac & LaSalle Club Grand National in Lombard Illinois in June of 2022 hosted by the West of the lake Region . The car won the highest level award from the CLC at this show the coveted Senior Crown award that requires the car to achieve at least 99 points as its being gone over by at least 3 judges who are judging the car on 1-Authenticity 2-Workmanship 3-Condition. Everything is tested to confirm it's in operational condition . This car also won a a Best of show in the post war class.
Larry with his wife in tow brought there 1985 Eldorado Biarritz Convertible color Autumn Maple Firemist To the Hershey AACA car show. There were only 2300 1985 Cadillac Eldorado convertibles made in 1985. This car earned a AACA National first place Junior award at the Famous Hershey AACA car show in Fall of 2024. Its reported that there were over 1200 cars on the show field at the Hershey car show. The award it was competing for requires a score of at least 365 out of 400 . The car was Judged by several judges who are confirming the car is as close to factory correct as the day it left the showroom floor
1967 Cadillac Deville Convertible ,Larry S and his wife SallyAnne of Sloatsburg NY took their car to the 2024 Charlotte AACA Grand National show to compete for a Grand national award. In order to compete for a AACA grand National award the car must have competed for a junior award requiring a score of at least 365 points out of 400 . The car earned its Junior award at Hershey AACA show in fall 2022. The next level required is to compete for a AACA senior award that requires a score of 375 point out of 400 . the car earned its senior award at the 2023 AACA Eastern Spring National in Gettysburg PA . The car earned its Grand National award that required a score of at least 380 points out of 400. The Next AACA award the car will compete for is a Grand National Senior award in Summer of 2025 at the AACA Grand national in Ohio The AACA judging in based on originality , Does the car appear as it would have when it left the show room. This car also won a Cadillac & LaSalle club first place award in the Primary Division at the 2024 Cadillac & LaSalle club Grand National in Gettysburg PA now allowing it to compete for its Senior award at the next Cadillac grand national This is an original unrestored car
